My oldest daughter has gone away to school this year. She will be in her own place with four other girls and have to figure out her new normal day with these changes as well as school, work, and dance. My youngest daughter is starting preschool. She has had to figure out the new morning where she needs to be in a certain place at a certain time, has to figure out new rules and has to have others give her instruction. You might be going through some new days as well. Maybe it's a new nutrition program where you are eating at particular times of the day, or you are learning to eat for performance or there are certain nutritional goals you are trying to hit all which will change your normal day of how and what you eat. Or you want to do a particular race and you now are including training for this in your daily list of "to-do's". So many people will get upset that their "new" day is not like their old day. It's not bad that they aren't. In fact, sometimes its good to have a BIG change because it jolts you out of the old in into the new. There will be things you want to continue to have in your day and you should try to keep those. But let your new day take on a new life of its own. Even if its almost completely different, you have to embrace it. And the more you are all in, then the less it will feel like you are fighting a winless battle. Since we really push hard to get everything in our world to equilibrium, we will automatically find it and work into everything and make this our NEW normal. But don't fight it. Layer your personality, your likes, your "things" over the new day and watch it become a thing of beauty. All of those other days, whether it was back when you were a kid, or when you started at a new gym, or a new diet, or a new job, or had a new kid, you WILL find your new regular. Eventually, you won't even be able to remember how your life was before this new life! Just go with the flow!:)
