I never really bought into the idea of a morning routine. Well, I had one but it was more like sleep until the moment I had to get up, then get out of bed, make food and go. There really wasn't any part of that 30-45 minutes that was got me relaxed and prepped for the day. I was getting ready to go but never prepping my head for it. When I talk about a morning routine, it's something that you do every day to allow yourself to be in your most ready state when you leave your house. If you listen to the massive influencers like Tony Robbins or Lewis Howe, or authors like Tim Ferriss, they all talk about having something first thing in the morning that sets you in a position that where your stress is low, your mind is focused and you do something that makes you feel good. Many will say they can't do it because they don't have the time, or because they have kids or any other reason. I had those too. But I decided to give it a try, and now it's my happy place! My morning routine is this: I get up around 530 am, I make coffee, then go to my computer and write. Its where I do programming and my blogging. Depending on what is happening in my world, I will get up at whatever time so that I have 30 minutes of writing time. Or if I need to, I will do my Revolutioner and Wim Hof breathing to cool my head if my mind is/has been racing. My writing is work yes but it's like a mental corked that is popped in the morning. I feel like ideas flow easily, workouts are easy to build, and of course, I can get some of my emails and stuff done. Doing this every day makes me feel readied and already successful when I leave my house. I mean who does want to feel successful before the day smacks them right in the face right?? Everyone's routine can be different. You need to find yours. So what will you do this morning? :)
