Have you ever had that feeling where you didn't want to go to the gym, or you didn't want to start doing your meal prepping, or you didn't want to start your project? You're just sitting there on the couch, not moving and you start to think of all the reasons why you shouldn't do what you are supposed to be doing. Maybe you had a long day at work, or you got in a fight with your significant other, or you had some bank or money issue and that voice in your head just really pushes about how you don't really need to go and do it right now and it will be better to start it later. I'll say this, the more you get into talking to yourself about it and having a conversation, the longer you will be sitting there until you don't have the time or its too late to get on it. When these things happen, the best thing is to do everything in your power to not have a conversation with yourself about it. The conversation is your weak side trying to convince yourself not to do it. And it is VERY good at winning that debate. Instead, the best plan of action is ACTION. The action of just getting up and getting into your car to drive to the gym will be enough to get you working out that day. The action of pulling all the food out of the fridge will be just the thing needed to get you through all your food prep. And far as the project goes, it's just a matter of getting on your feet and moving into the project. I have to do this one with cleaning my house all the time. I really don't want to do it but if I can just go and grab the bucket that has all the cleaning supplies, then I'm off and running. ACTION will always be the thing that brings about change. Thinking about it is just thinking. Worrying about it is just worrying. Debating about it is just debating. You HAVE to get moving on it or it won't happen. So today when you don't feel doing whatever it is, just get up and get going, and you will already be winning! :)
