How do you know when you should quit? We all have heard "quitters never win and winners never quit" but things are working as you planned, shouldn't there be a point where it's just time to stop trying and stop wasting your time? Most of the time when someone attempts something and they aren't very good at it, they will make a quick assessment that either they suck at it so bad that they won't waste any more time (mostly because they are worried about what others think), or they will understand that it will take some work. Let's say it's the first. The person will quickly want out because they feel that they looked foolish as they floundered around. They would be looking around to see if others are looking at them and soon the attempts become feeble at best. If it's the second, then they understand that there will be some time involved and so they practice and practice and practice. But if it doesn't happen still, then frustration sets in and they throw their hands up and walk away. But in both circumstances, they forgot the reason they wanted to do it to begin with. They wanted to do it because it was something they WANTED to do, it looked fun or like something that would be good for them. It was important to them! If those are true then why stop? Just because it's difficult, or because you haven't got one yet, doesn't mean it won't ever happen. Don't just stop and lose the opportunity of doing something that you might really love! This goes for silly things like say a handstand push up or the things we do in the gym, but it also goes for everyday things, life things. Just because something is hard or difficult doesn't mean its time to stop. It doesn't matter how many times you get knocked down, you fall on your face, you get side-swiped. If it's important to you, then you will keep getting back up and trying again. You WILL get better at it and you WILL get through it! But you won't have a chance at all if you just quit. The only time to stop would be only when you determine that it's not important to you anymore. Not because it's hard, not because it hurts, but only because you aren't going to get anything out of it anymore. But this takes a very honest look at the situation and yourself. 100 fails don't mean it will never happen. It just means it hasn't happened yet!!:)
