"But I don't have enough money." "But I don't have enough time." "But I don't have enough skill," "But I'm just not good at that." "But I have too many other things I need to do." "It doesn't fit in my schedule." "My parents won't let me." "People might laugh at me." "What if I fail?" What's stopping you from doing IT. Do you want to lose weight? Do you want to get stronger? Do you want to look better and have more confidence? Do you want a better job? Do you want more money? Do you want a better relationship? You can fill in the blank here, but no matter what your IT is, what is stopping you? We all start off with all kinds of gusto and drive when we take our first steps on a new journey. But the second things get tough or you hit a roadblock, we get stopped in our tracks. There will ALWAYS be these roadblocks but you can't give them any power. If you hit a roadblock you just need to get around it. This might mean you put your head down and go straight through it like a charging ram. Let's say you want better grades but everyone is out partying. You need to put your head down and study. Do the work or get a tutor. Charge through it! Or it might be that there is no way to go through it so you need to climb up and over it. This could be taking a risk of paying a mentor to help you through your roadblock. It's a short term risk that costs money but will get you to the next level then you are can be running smoothly. Or maybe you just need to maneuver around it and it might even take you way off the straight-line path. You might want to improve your overall fitness for medical reasons but you are a busy working parent with no time. All the roadblocks of no time, other responsibilities, or money stack up. Maybe you need to sell some stuff on Craigslist or work some extra hours for some money. Or get up 45 minutes early to run or do burpees and pull-ups, and make all your food so you can keep your fitness in check until you can get back to the gym. It can be done. As they say, excuses are like assholes, everyone has one. But you can't let these excuses and roadblocks stop you. Keep your forward momentum!
