It's amazing how strong your brain can be. And I mean that in both negative and positives directions. They say your thoughts make your words, your words make your actions, and your actions make your habits. Ok, that makes sense. But what about when you don't think you can do something. You are hurting, you are exhausted, you are in pain, you are starving, you are sad, you feel hopeless. It's very tough to make yourself feel ok and then make some nice thoughts/words/actions and habits. However, we all have done it at some point. We all have picked up the bar one more time when we thought it would be impossible. We all have picked ourselves up and got back to work after a big failure. We all have been able to something that we NEVER thought we could do. And we did it just by doing it. Simply turning off the noise and moving. No big thought process or operation. There doesn't always have to be some master plan to have mental toughness, or fortitude, or grit. In fact, I think its almost better when we can shut the brain off a little, not think so much and then just move. It's the voices in your head that tell you that you can't make it, or you can't do it. If you can shut those down, then its just your body doing what it needs to do. This doesn't mean it will be perfect, or that it's not still going to be painful. But it does mean that you will be one step closer to what you are trying to do. Whether that's getting to the end of the workout, or having your baby, or making the business work, or getting through family problems, or having money problems. Quiet the "I can't"'s in your head and get back up. Keep moving forward. One step at a time. You will get there. One step at a time.:)
