The world is filled with a MASSIVE amount of distraction.  Things we want.  Things that interest us.  Crazy things on TV.  Nutty things people do.  Daydreams we have.  People we are involved with.  Career issues.  Money issues.  Relationship issues.  I could go on and on.  I'd say that most of us know where we want to go and where we are trying to get to.  But as we go down our path we get sidetracked by....well lets just call it shit.  I'm not even meaning its bad things when I call it shit.  Its just anything that gets in our way.  Depending on YOUR state, you may choose to react to these distractions in one way or another.  "I want today to be over with!  It's just one thing after another!!"  Ever said that before?  Sure you have.  We all have.  It's when we are frustrated and we have to deal with multiple items that get in our way.  We want to throw our hands up in the air and just give up, even though we would never give that piece of advice to anyone else.  But you can change your state simply by changing how you respond to the things around you.  You can't lead yourself through life with your emotions.  Emotions can be beautiful things at times.  The feeling of love.  The feeling of sorrow.  The feeling of anger.  The feeling happiness.  All of these are wonderful because they make you feel alive.  Truly alive!  The downside is that if you let these lead you then all of your actions will be illogical.  Meaning they will be not be thought out using facts.  Just straight knee-jerk reactions to the situation.  They may, for a split second, make you feel a momentary second of "pleasure" but more often than not you will end up making your situation much worse.  You may say or do something that you will not be able to take back.  This will add to your shitty day!  Once you are able to gain some sort of control on your emotions, then its about not giving any energy to the things that you can NOT change.  This doesn't mean you won't have to deal with it, but it means you won't give it any emotional energy.  You wont be mad, angry, sad, or even overjoyed.  Just realize what it is and that you cant do anything to change it and keep moving.  Don't let it distract you from what you are doing.  Third would be to prioritize the things you have to do.  There are things that have to happen right now.  Do them.  There are things that are important that might not have to be done right this second.  So spend your time on the "must be done now" things.  Then the things you "want" to do might have to take a spot at 3rd or 4th depending on what you have going on.  But be smart about the priority and then drive forward.  Finally, celebrate those small completions.  Every time you scratch something off the list, be stoked.  Let yourself feel the celebration of success.  These are important to keep your morale up as you battle through all the things you have.  We all have very busy lives with a zillion things happening at one time.  But if you can organize and attack it correctly then you will increase your success rate DRASTICALLY!  And EVERYONE likes to feel successful!! :)
