Ever seen the movie The Highlander?  Its an older movie about these warriors that are born immortal and they come together at different times and battle to the death.  Until there is only one.  Each time a warrior ills another, the winner gains their energy, until the end where the final immortal standing will have the power to read men's thoughts and have vast knowledge of the world and the people around them.  "There can be only one!"  As this movie is entertainment, and really good if you haven't seen it, there are some real-life themes here that I love.  First, as in the real world, the is only EVER one winner.  If it's for a competition, a job interview, a test, whatever.  This doesn't mean everyone else is a loser.  It just means that you can only have one winner.  We have talked about this idea of how I'm against the whole "everyone's a winner" crap hahaha.  That just isn't real life and in my opinion, WE, the people of my era, have created the millennial generations way of entitlement because wanted dint want our kid's feelings to be hurt.  We taught them that everyone is a winner, so they all assume they are winners.  But the other thing I love about The Highlander is that each warrior embraces the skills they have. They are proud of the things they have and skills they use.  I think this is important in the real world also.  We all are different people and each has different skills and abilities.  Sure it would be nice to have this or that ability that this other person has.  But instead of wasting time wishing about what you don't have, you need to be proud of what you DO have.  The skills you have are nothing to be ashamed of and guess what, there is someone out there that wants YOUR abilities!  Now if you are talking CrossFit then the object is to reduce your weaknesses as much as you can so that you that you can increase your work capacity across broad times and modal domains.  So you should work on fixing those weaknesses.  Actually, you should work on all weakness you have if it's in the real of something that's important to you.  But don't be bummed or upset about it.  EVERYONE has a weakness.  It might a skill, or strength, or mental fortitude.  But your job is to do you.  And make yourself as good as you can.  Because in life, "there can be only one".  And there really is.......only one YOU!!:)
