I just got done watching the Super Bowl.  I'm not a mega fan for either of the teams honestly but I was stoked that FINALLY there was a good Super Bowl Game!!!  It seems like the last 10 years have been sooooooo boring.  But I have to hand it to the Eagles.  They came into the game as the MASSIVE underdog.  I never really heard anyone say that they thought that they would actually beat the Patriots.  Crazy they were the underdogs in all of their postseason games as well.  Sometimes it might seem sort of demeaning to be called the underdog.  If you think about it, it means that you DON'T have a chance to win.  You, for all intensive purposes, are going to lose no matter what.  You are just lucky to be there.  So if you look at it like that, then it is pretty degrading.  But when there is a situation of an underdog going head to head with a sure thing, something happens.  Something that if you think about it, can give all kind of power.  There is a win-win situation and a lose-lose situation that forms.  If the Pats won, then it's really not that big of a deal because they were supposed to win anyways.  Just another meh Super Bowl.  But if they lose, then they are REAL losers because they lost to a team that shouldn't have even made it that far to begin with!  All the pressure is on them!  The Eagles were in a win-win situation.  If they lost well then it's ok because they really weren't supposed to win anyways.  Great game and everything but it's cool that you guys were lucky enough to step on the field with the Patriots.  If they win, well then the win is even bigger and greater than normal because they beat the UNBEATABLE!  Since they were in a win-win situation there was zero pressure on them.  All they had to do was go out a do there thing.  When you're in this position you won't get fouled up with thoughts of "what if this", "what if that", "what will people think", etc, etc.  All those thoughts do nothing but clog up your flow.  When you are in your flow you will be able to more than you ever thought possible.  The trick is to be able to push all those thoughts out of your head whether you are in a win-win or a lose-lose situation, and everything in between.  This was something that has taken me over 40 years of competition to just start to figure out.  To NOT let myself be concerned with the outcome.  To not let that be the drive of what or how I do what I do.  The trick is to stay right in the now.  You need to put all your energy and focus on what you are doing RIGHT THEN, and not to look ahead a second further.  Once you can get into your flow and you aren't pressured with performing, then you just get to go.  And GO you will!  Congrats to the Eagles!!  :)
