Negativity is a trap. It sucks the life right out of you. And its the craziest downward spiral that happens from the smallest nugget of shit. And even worse is when you start to think negative, then it infects everything you have going on. Let's say you are having a bad day and then you look at pictures of your kids. Do you instantly feel happy, or do you feel pressure and fear of messing something up or that something might happen to them, etc? It's so easy to let your brain go wild. But you NEED to keep the reigns tight when this happens. The second you feel this you need to stop your mind, take a second, slow it all down. If you are looking at those pictures, the only thing you should be thinking of is happiness, joy, love, caring, laughter, smiles, games. I'm not saying that everything is all sunshine and roses but for this moment, let this (in this case the pictures of your kids) be the thing that stops the cyclone of bad thoughts. Let it be the thing that fires you up to make things work. Not in an "oh-shit!" thing, but in an "ok let's do this!" thing. Let these good thoughts inspire you and lift you up. Let them breathe some light into your world. Let the good and the positive pick you up and carry you over all the negative! It can happen but you have to let it. If you choose to stay in the negative, then that's exactly where you will. If you choose to stay in the positive, then that's exactly where you will be. You make the choice! :)
