I saw an old movie from the 80's called "Wings of Desire". It's a VERY artsy movie that shows these Guardian Angels roaming the world, reporting on and helping humans. One of the angels falls in love with a circus girl and decides to become human to be with her. But this isn't what the post for today is about. They can see and hear everything we do. They hear every word and every thought. Even those very deep and dark thoughts. Ones that may seem hopeless and even suicidal. Imagine what people would think if they could actually hear every single thing you ever said. But they would stop by some and give them a little nudge and it would change their entire thought process. The would go from feeling helpless or like there was no hope of being hopeful and telling themselves that it will be ok and to keep going! All from a little nudging of the right words. Words really are one of the most powerful things out there. They have the power to complete crush a person or send them sky high. I have seen some of the best athletes in the world complete crippled by some words that were fed to them. But at the same time, I have seen some of the most average athletes do some of the most amazing things ever all based on some words that were put in their heads. When things get bad we need to be able to do what these Guardian Angels did in the movie and drop some words to give us a little nudge back in the right direction. To get positive again. When you start to feel like you are drowning, or when it's starting to become too much, or you cant make it, or you cant do it, give yourself a nudge. It doesn't have to be anything super poetic. It just has to be believable, positive, simple. "You are ok", "Just keep moving", "You can do it". Repeat it. This is your nudge to get back in the right direction. Be your own Guardian Angel and use these words to change those thoughts in your head. These thoughts will become actions, which will become habits, which will become a better place for you! :)
