We live in a world of distraction.  It doesn't matter what you are doing or where you are doing it, the world has a way of seeping into your face, your head, and your heart.  Some of it comes from our own doing like our phones, computers, and other technologies.  Those are some of the obvious ones that we "choose" to let in.  We can easily get lost down the rabbit hole of facebook or Instagram "stuff".  Ever lost an hour and a half once you pulled up away from your phone?  It happens all the time.  But this isn't it even.  People.  They will talk.  They will say things.  Some true and some not true, but their statements will get into your head.  Mess with you.  Cloud your focus.  If you let it that is.  All this stuff will happen around you all the time. It honestly won't stop.  So instead of wishing that it would, you need to make it so it doesn't affect you.  You can choose not to react to it (we have talked before about this how it's an emotional action to a statement or action).  You can just ignore it.  Don't waste any energy on it.  When you do you give the person and the things they are saying power over you.  And for those other technological distractions, realize that it's just words.  Everyone on social media rants about everything.  I don't think that many people really take that much stock in it.  So let it go.  You only have so much time and energy for the day.  Don't waste it on crappy distractions!! :)
