We all know how difficult life can get.  It seems like when you have to deal with money things, health things, family things, career things, all at the same time, its impossible to find a way to keep moving forward.  Or even more, impossible to keep from completely shutting down.  The stress of your world seems to grow as you look at everything at one time.  In fact, it actually does grow when you look at it like that!  The problem with looking at the overview of all your problems is that EVERYTHING then becomes a problem, whether it's in the pile or not!.  Even the amount of time you have to deal with any of the individual issues becomes an issue!  So then how are you supposed to regain any type of control on the situation?  Well, the more complex the pile of shit, the more simple you need to be when you respond.  The old adage would be "How do you eat an elephant?  One bite at a time."  And that is how you keep it simple.  You only deal with one thing at a time and you get to the next one when you finish it.  So instead of a giant mountain of crap, you now have a single file line, and you just cut it down one task at a time.  Think of how the Spartans in the movie "300" were able to do so much damage to the gigantic Persian army!  Funnel them in, line them up and knock them down!  The other side effect of this is the confidence you build as you are progressing through it.  The more things you complete and knock off the list, the better you feel and the better you feel, the better outlook you will have on everything!  It's really a WIN-WIN!!  So next time you start to feel weighed down by your mountain, just take a deep breath, and line up the issues and knock 'em down!!! :)
