There is one woman that has been the center point of my life since day one, my mom.  She was the lone female in a household of guys.  It was my dad, my two brothers and myself.  The lone vessel of femininity in a sea testosterone!  But even with the way athletics, training, competition, lifting, running, swimming, and sweating ruled our house, she was able to imprint an amazing amount of creativity, artistic expression, music, drawing, painting, teaching, caring, and loving skills onto us.  We are a unique blend of jock and artist because of her.  When I was young, I wanted/needed her hugs because they had a magically way of making things better.  That's where I needed to be when things were bad.  Now, when I get the hug from her and the "hi honey", it's a homecoming to a very comfortable place.  I love you mom for all the things you have given me.  And even if we don't see eye to eye on things, I know that you ALWAYS come from a place of love for me.  Happy Mother's Day to you!!  And to all the other mothers out there, don't ever take for granted what you mean to your child.  Mother is one of two of the most important titles one can hold in the world!!!  Happy Moms day to all of you!   :)
