There are 2 sides to Crossfit:  Crossfit the Sport and Crossfit the Fitness Program.  They are VASTLY different BUT there are some very important ways that line can, and should be crossed.  We all know that one of the comments about crossfit is that the competition brings out the worst in people.  People will cheat their reps, cheat their movement, cheat the system, etc.  Yes this part sucks, but what do they really gain when they do this in the regular workouts in the box?  NOTHING.  But lets look at what competition really does do:  it makes us work harder than we normally would, it pushes us to new levels, it puts us out of our comfort zone and lets us improve ourselves.  Competition does not only exist at the Crossfit Games.  There are many many many local, and not so local, events that you can go out and test yourself.  If you find that you are doing extra workouts and extra training, what are you doing it for?  If you have never been in a competition before, but you think you will be able to handle the pressure when you get out there and have to be judged and you have to perform, i promise you you will be shocked.  Test yourself!  You are training for something!  Dont let the fear of being last keep you from trying out some of these events.  We have many many many athletes in the INFERNO Family and we need to grow them.  This will only happen when they are tested.  So lets get the group together and see what's out there.  Maybe ill get to commentate about you;) FEEL THE BURN!!!
