Our workouts can get pretty heavy at times. And for many, doing the workout as RXed will sit out there like a big carrot. But doing the workout RXed is NOT the point of the workout. The goal is to get a particular physical / physiological response to the workout. We program the workout for the best athletes out there but, we try to take a majority of the guess work out of deciding what to do. Next to the RXed weights we will have either a % of 1RM or a particular number of reps to get unbroken. These numbers are just as important as the RX number because they will determine the correct weight to use for you for the response. However there may be a couple other things that will affect the weight or movement. If you are injured, or if you do not have the proper mobility and range of motion then you will need to adjust the weight. Just because you CAN do the weight doesn't mean you SHOULD. Make sure you talk to your trainer so they can help get the correct weights and movements for you:) FEEL THE BURN!!!!
