Coming off the weekends of Regionals and as in ANY sporting event, there is a winner and a loser.  But this is only in the standings of that particular event.  Whether you are a winner or a loser all depends on you.  Now im not talking about "EVERYBODY GETS A RIBBON".  I think its important to win and to lose so that you can learn from it.  But being a winner or a loser is totally different.  I saw Julie Foucher , what appeared to be, rupture her achillies during and event and then as a woman who was bound to be on the podium again, just do what she could with a smile on her face.  Did she lose? yes.  is she a loser? no.  I saw Sam Dancer in the top five all weekend long up until the last event.  As he finished, he was smiling and hugging the other athletes.  He lost but was he a loser?  no.  I could go on and on with these stories.  The point is that all of these people were just doing what they were do.  The compete, they drive, they push, they strive, they train, they fight, etc, but they also love what they do.  so even though they didnt win, they love the whole thing.  Sure there are things that sting especially if you really want to win something.  But we always need to remember to love the journey.  If we dont love it, then why are we doing it?  There is so much to take and learn from in our worlds all you have to do is open you eyes:) FEEL THE BURN!!!!
