As much as Crossfit and INFERNO workouts are a physical test, it is equally a mental test.  We obviously are trying to increase your work capacity across broad times and modal domains each and everyday.  Your body DOESNT KNOW its tired, or hurting or tight, or feeling burning muscles, etc.  Your muscles will contract as long as the brain is firing impulses to it.  The pain part is the mental game.  The pain that we do feel is a way of our body to not push too hard.  The champions out there seem to be able to go longer than others.  Do they not feel the pain?  Of course they do.  But they are able to control that feeling.  So then how do they build that tolerance?  Its a daily thing.  They do they workout and put themselves into that pain zone.  And the goal is to try to sit there in that zone for a little bit of time.  The more times you do this, the more comfortable you will be here.  You will be able to push that line back further and further.  The fact is that the person that can take the most discomfort is going to win.  Pick any sport, any situation and this is true.  So here we are once again in the gym with a another chance to push that limit back.  see what you can do.  It doesnt have to be a massive change.  When you want to stop, do 1 more rep.  Then the next you want to stop, try to get 2 reps, etc.  Become more comfortable with being uncomfortable!
