What are you doing for the OTHER 23 hours of the day when you arent in the gym? Well as a grumpy old man parent this is what i see:  slouching shoulders, swaying hips, rounded back, locked out legs, hands on hips with thumbs pointing forward, and the list goes on.  As a grumpy old man parent would says........STAND UP STRAIGHT!!! GET YOUR SHOULDERS BACK!!! STAND TALL!!!  CHEST OUT!!!  We talk mobility and proper movement all the time for the lifting we do.  But i think for many of you, your default position is "not turned on".  You allow yourself to be in bad position because (in reality) you are being lazy.  But this turns into habits and these habits are making your midline weak, making your shoulders want to be internally rotated, making your glutes not turn on to keep your hips and femurs in a good strong position, etc.  As someone who is flexible, i need to CONSTANTLY remind myself to active my butt and midline to stand straight and not sway from one side to the other.  it takes time and you will actually get tired from doing it because you havent done it for soooooooo long!  Be prepared, you may soon be seeing a simple reminder that EACH of you can use to keep yourself positioned better more often.  SO ......stand up straight already and put your shoulders back.........EVEN WHEN YOU ARE TEXTING!!!  :)
