When it comes to fitness everyone wants IT to happen RIGHT NOW.  The IT can be losing weight, gaining muscle, getting a new PR or a particular PR, going faster or going longer.  Sure you will put some time in to whatever it is your trying to accomplish (or at least i hope this is the case).  But you have to remember that there is a progression to progress.  It DOES NOT happen all at one time.  There are increments that have to happen.  I have heard of lifters training for 1-2 years to 1 more pound to their best lift.  This doesn't mean that progress is not happening or is too slow, it just means its a tough weight to get.  As you make your way through these incremental steps, you NEED to celebrate and be happy about them.  These are the foot steps in our journey.  If these weren't there then we really wouldn't know if we were on the right track or not.  Celebrate the journey, celebrate the steps, celebrate each of the small wins.....even if just getting there (like going to the gym when you really don't want to) seemed impossible. FEEL THE BURN!!!!
