People find CrossFit and the INFERNO for different reasons: some like to do crazy workouts, some want to lose weight, some want to get ready for the military or other public safety job, some want to get rid of their arthritis, some want to be able to play with the grandkids, some want push themselves, some want to compete in the newest sport, some want to throw weights around, some want to get stronger, some want to learn how to move again, the list goes on and on!  The reasons are as unique and varied as the members we have here.  The crazy thing is that the prescription for all of these (and as much as I want to say its "cowbell" it really isnt) is true Crossfit programming.  We do Constantly Varied, Functional Movements, Done at High Intensity.  This recipe, that was created by Coach Greg Glassman, has produced the most insane, most beneficial, most successful, most functional workout program out there!  This is something that EVERYONE can do and should do.  Dont let yourself get mixed up in some watered down version, or weak copy that is trying to say they are CrossFit.  Come see what the hype is all about!!  Give us a week and we will give you your newest addiction!!!

"Chopping Block"

INFERNO Warm-up x 3

Complete the following:


9 min AMRAP:

8 reps Dumbbell Thrusters (50#, 35#)

12 reps Handstand Push-ups

20 reps Sit-ups 3 minutes.....

6 min AMRAP 2 minutes.....

3 min AMRAP

    *Score with total reps.  After each rest, start at the thrusters.




Pistol Skill Work

     * See how heavy you can go for a successful Pistol.  If you dont have Pistols then work on the scaled versions on a box, or holding a band, or holding a pull-up upright.
