Fish oil....why is it something that we need? The most important reason we need it is because its something that over the last 30-50 years has been removed from our diet. We don't eat the amount of fish we used to and much of the fish we eat is usually of the farmed fish which is not as healthy as the wild caught fish. Now if you look at the desired amounts that we should be taking you will see some different amount than we normal suggest. In the Crossfit world, we push .25-.5g of EPA/DHA per 10lbs of body weight. Now, with most capsules of fish oil yielding 300mg of EPA/DHA per 1g of fish oil, this can mean quiet a bit of fish oil. So look for the capsules that have the higher yielding amounts. Also, even though the FDA reports that taking too much fish oil can be bad for you, I have yet to see any reports to prove this. There some possible side effects and you should definitely be aware of these but the benefits with fish oil are truly amazing. Some doctors have called it the true "miracle drug"! You can imagine that the pharmaceutical companies aren't too happy with this:)

Tabata Squats: 8 rounds of 20 secs max reps and 10 secs rest. Score by adding all your rounds and get a true average
Subs...Everyone will do ring dips but if you need to use the bands, only use enough to where you can get 10 reps straight but not to where you can get 15. For the Deads, use a weight to where you are able to do at least 12 straight. Dont pick a light weight to go fast. Pick a heavier weight and go as fast as you can!Post to comments:
